Dall’Italia til Nordkapp
Egg, September 14, 2024: The journey from Italy to Nordkapp on my racing bike was very intense. It always takes a few days before I arrive home. Along with the recordings, I used this time to create the film Dall’Italia til Nordkapp. I am delighted to be able to publish the first 83 seconds, the trailer so to speak, here today.
The movie itself is exactly 1:26:45 long. And yes, it took me 17 days to edit the movie so far, there was no rest day – otherwise I would never have finished. From a total of 500 GBytes of data, 1497 shots and over 18 hours of film material, I think I have created a documentary film that captures both the journey and the landscape in impressive images.
Publication of the drone images requires the approval of the authorities in Sweden, see: https://www.lantmateriet.se (or the corresponding subpage). I initiated this process at 4th of September 2024. The current waiting time for viewing the recordings was reported to be around 50 days, i.e. a decision can be expected at the end of October at the earliest.
Consequently, until then, performances can only be held at my place in Egg. If there are enough interested people (small groups), a performance can also be considered before the end of October. If you are interested, send an email to office@azurgo.ch.
Offer for Northcape4000 riders
The premiere of the film took place last Sunday. The audience was enthusiastic about the journey, the beautiful shots and the story. I would like to follow up on one suggestion from the premiere here. Northcape4000 riders can be found in many places in the movie. Now my “test” audience would like to know more about you. For this reason, I would like to take up this suggestion here.
I am looking for Northcape4000 riders who are willing to tell me about their adventure. This can either be a photo and a description (approx. 100 to 300 characters) or a short film sequence (approx. 10 to 30 seconds, FullHD, better 4K). I would like to integrate your statements into the film until it is published (probably at the end of October 2024 or after the drone footage has been reviewed by the Swedish authorities).
What do I get in return as a Northcape4000 rider? You will receive a link (including a password) and can view the film in advance to find the right place for your statement. Maybe you are already in the movie, then we can find a spot there or in a separate sequence. It is important that you grant me the appropriate rights to the material so that I can use your photo or recordings.
The offer is limited to a maximum of 20 Northcape4000 riders (10 slots in German and 10 for the English version). Anyone on the 2024 start list can take part, successful completion is not required, so you don’t have to be an official finisher. I look forward to your statements. I have published some stages on YouTube so that anyone interested can get an idea of the film.
