Beschreibung

The film “Dall’Italia till Nordkapp” was made on the occasion of the participation in the ultra-cycling race “Northcape4000” in 2024. The work shows the journey from Italy to Nordkapp in impressive pictures and with an entertaining plot. The aim of the film was/is not to show how it is possible to cycle to Nordkapp as quickly as possible.

Rather, “Dall’Italia till Nordkapp” shows how beautiful and unique the landscape is along the way – and what a shame it would be to simply cycle through it at top speed. Nevertheless, the film provides a lot of background information on how, even with relatively modest training, it is possible to arrive (almost) without suffering and with a lot of enjoyment while enjoying the journey.

The film “Dall’Italia till Nordkapp” also shows in an entertaining way why you don’t need high-tech equipment, but only the courage to be modest with your luggage in order to reach Nordkapp quite comfortably. Questions are also answered as to whether it is worth taking part in the Northcape4000 and what hurdles need to be overcome.

Important: There are numerous drone shots in the film. Unfortunately, recordings in Sweden have to be approved by the local authorities. The work will therefore only be available once they have viewed the footage and given their consent for publication. This will be the case plus/minus the end of October 2024. If you order the film now, you will receive a 30 percent discount on the final price of sFr. 12.80, i.e. the film will be available for 8.95 until the material is approved.

Please note that if you order the English version, you will receive English subtitles. If you order the German version, it will be delivered with German subtitles. If you would like to have the dialect version (Swiss dialect), please make a note of this when ordering. As soon as the film can be published, you will receive an e-mail with a link. As soon as you want to watch the film or have time to do so, send an e-mail to office@azurgo.ch and the work will be activated for you (VideoOnDemand).

Note: Until publication, I am looking for Northcape4000 riders who are willing to report on their adventure. This can either be a photo and a description (approx. 100 to 300 characters) or a short film sequence (approx. 10 to 30 seconds, FullHD, better 4K). I would like to integrate your statements into the movie. What do I get in return as a Northcape4000 rider? You will receive a link (incl. password) and can view the film in advance to find the right place for your statement. Maybe you are already in the movie, then we can find a spot there or in a separate sequence. It is important that you grant me the appropriate rights to the material so that I can use your photo or footage. If you would like to take part, please send an e-mail to office@azurgo.ch with the relevant photo or the link to your recording.

Author

Urs Pfister publishes hiking and cycling books aimed at families and the young at heart. The author lives and works in Switzerland, almost always in the municipality of Egg, sometimes also in the Moosal region. Urs Pfister is the managing director of the company Archivista GmbH and thus also of azurgo.ch, the platform with the help of which the hiking and biking books are published by azurgo.ch.

Even as a young boy, Urs Pfister obtained many maps from the local library in order to draw (with pencil!) great routes on them. The later gentle erasing of the paths on the borrowed maps kept him busy for evenings at a time. With the first money earned, maps were purchased for own tours. With these, Urs Pfister discovered Switzerland and the surrounding countries on foot or by bicycle.

Today, Urs Pfister plans all his trips with digital maps and travels off the beaten track with smartphone gps navigation. The idea of a diary soon gave rise to the first hiking books. Because creating the maps on the computer took a lot of time, Urs Pfister set out to automate this job. A lot of time passed until the portal azurgo.ch was created. Since then, Urs Pfister is happy that on azurgo.ch not only he, but all outdoor enthusiasts can create their own tour books with a few clicks.
